Sand, Sand, Everywhere [1/52]
Welcome to the desert. Hope you like sand!
The first week of 2010 couldn't have been much better. I rang in the new year on the beach, taking in views of the Atlantis resort as I watched an amazing fireworks display. I spent the week studying and stressing over multiple exams, but at the end of the week I rejoiced as I successfully completed my Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) portion of training... which is by far the hardest part of the entire 6 weeks. I'm slowly beginning to adjust to life in Dubai. I've met some great friends and I really do enjoy training despite the hard work required. Every day I'm one step closer to actually flying. The best part of this week came when Ryan announced that he is flying to Dubai to visit me... next week!! Of course I was beyond excited. I can't wait to see him and hug him and show him around my desert home. Ain't life amazing?
